Designing for Human Experience
Environmental UX consultancy and visualization studio focused on human-centered design solutions.
More than just visualizations and Revit modeling assistance, EUX will show you how to fully understand the user experience of the environment while it's still cost-effective and manageable - resulting in an incalculable increase in value for your project.

UX Design Should Be For More Than Your Phone

Studies indicate that Americans spend around 5 to 7 hours a day on their phones. The user experience during these hours has been meticulously studied and optimized for maximum engagement. Americans also spend about 90% of their time indoors; it would make sense to ensure that the environments we inhabit are designed and analyzed with the same level of attention as our smartphones. I am committed to establishing this approach as a standard in design.
Universal Intent
Three complementary design practices are utilized to provide design analysis: early design stage auditing, post-occupancy evaluations, and Revit modeling and visualization services. The process is based on 10 categories: 5 UX dimensions and 5 evidence-based neurological dimensions, that are used to make environments legible, measurable, and actionable.
EUX provides consulting services for residential, mixed-use, retail/hospitality, office, and urban design projects. From the beginning to the finished product, Revit modeling, examining the spaces, and providing consultation - result in a continuous positive feedback loop of information on how users can maximize their experience while owners/developers/designers can appreciate the added value created through a more informed design.
While AI is a powerful tool, it is not one that EUX supports in creating images for clients
No AI In Visualizations
Architect retains fully design authority. EUX is technical support and will not stamp drawings
Not An Architecture Firm
EUX does not design towards trends and does not impact aesthetic preferences
Not an Interior Design Firm
Programs like WELLFitwel are based solely on compliance checklists. EUX creates a narrative of items based on lived experience.
Not Just a Checklist
In-situ experience surveying to candidly understand how users experience a space during occupancy
Post-Occupancy Surveying
EUX delivers a scored and actionable report for real projects that follow an agreed upon timeline.
Not Just Academic Research
What Sets EUX Apart
Environmental UX Strategy
Design phase audits apply a 10 category, five-dimension neurological and UX framework to drawings, renderings, material palettes, and spatial narratives before anything is built. The goal is to bring neurological risks and opportunities while changes are still low-cost and high-impact - adding additional value to both the end-users' experience and bottom line.
Working with architects, interior designers, owners/developers, a provisional EUX Design Scorecard with scores, findings, and prioritized risk/opportunity matrix will be provided. These audits can be offered during the Schematic Design and Design Development phases, or through both to understand how the impact of the changes' values can be tracked in real time.
Post-Occupancy neurological framework surveys are an invaluable way for users to provide feedback via real-time surveys and candid observations for existing or nearly-completed projects. These can be pivotal baseline design decisions for future projects or real-time evidence of how to improve the use of a space that needs improving such as retail or office spaces.
Once analysis has commenced, a scorecard and narrative of results will be provided. These will be discussed in a consulting meeting where we will discuss how these changes can add value against upfront investment costs. This meeting typically takes roughly an hour, depending on the scope of the project and the results.
